We believe it is the responsibility of the minister to live an exemplary life in order to assist others in the establishment of these values. Thus Christian character is a vital concern of CBC. We emphasises the following values:

• Interest in developing habits of Bible study, prayer and regular church attendance.
• Concern to serve the Lord and fellow man.
• Recognition of the authority of the word of God, specifically, the biblical teaching about moral standards.
• A desire to develop personally in terms of Christian virtues and "the fruit of thespirit ...love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, ...and temperance" (Gal. 5: 22, 23).
